Investor Education

TSI’s Investor Education programs are aimed at providing necessary financial and investment knowledge for Thai investors and the general public, rendering knowledge power for investors to invest with efficiency, thus ultimately enhancing the development of Thai capital market.

The courses comprise both fundamental investment courses and intensive courses with relation to investment in different types of instruments as follows;-


Understanding Personal Finance

The course introduces program attendants to investment procedure and provides understanding of risks and yields from investment, how to select the suitable types of investment and vital information for decision-making.

Investing in Equity

The course provides understanding of different types of equity instruments in the equity market and the secondary market, investment principles, and analysis of securities price, as well as related regulations and rules.

Investing in Debt

The course provides an understanding of nature of different types of debt instruments in the debt market and the secondary market, investment principles, securities price analysis methods, as well as related rules and regulations.

Investing in Mutual Fund
The course introduces you to investment in mutual fund and enhance an understanding of the structure of mutual fund, yields, risks, as well as analysis and decision making when investing in the mutual fund.

    Nature of mutual fund, background of mutual fund business, structure of mutual fund, reasons to invest in mutual fund, strengths and weaknesses of mutual fund and introduction to types of securities and assets invested by mutual fund.
  • How to Select the Right Mutual Fund
    Types of mutual fund and factors for consideration before selecting a mutual fund
  • Yields and Risks
    Yields from mutual fund, price calculation and valuation of assets of mutual fund. Tax privileges granted for investment in mutual fund and contingent risks from different types on mutual fund.
  • Steps to Investment in Mutual Fund
    Introduction to investment in mutual fund, purchase and sales of investment units, personnel related to trading and basic information essential for decision making.
  • Professional Investment Management
    Introduction to investment management, basic investment port theory, as well as risks and yields. Profit-generating financial management, investment strategies, analysis, and evaluation of operating results.
  • Investor’s Rights
    Case studies, inspection of injustice, places to file complaints and related laws and regulations


Fundamental of Derivatives
The courses aims at enhancing a fundamental knowledge of the primary and secondary derivative markets, investment methods and related organizations.

  • Yields and risks of derivatives trading
  • Trading procedures at the Derivative Dealing Center
  • Roles of the trading center and clearing houses
  • Definitions, characteristics, obligations, and security relating to trading.
  • Utilization and cautions with regard to Future and Option derivatives


TSI Investor Education programs are offered through various types of learning channels in order to promote effective learning and greater convenience for the program attendants. Those channels include seminars, e-learning system, textbooks, and CD-Rom.

Train the Trainer Project

Knowledge and understanding of finance and investment appear to be the most significant factors enhancing the recovery and the development of the economy across the world today. In addition, the globalization and the emergence of the investment trends prompted a necessity for people to possess such knowledge and understanding. As a result, an increasing number of Thai people are seeking to obtain and further their knowledge in finance and investment. Therefore, recognizing the importance of the distribution of financial and investment knowledge to Thai people across the country, TSI has established “Train the Trainer,” a project aims at training professors and teachers of economics and finance in academic institutions, as well as professional practitioners in financial and capital markets, to help distribute knowledge of investment to the Thai public. TSI trainers will be provided both theoretical and practical, as well as fundamental and advanced knowledge and skills, and supplied with necessary teaching tools and materials in order to enhance effective communications between those trainers and prospective learners.

Qualifications of Eligible Applicants

  • Professors of Finance, Economics and Investment from either governmental or private educational institutions with at least 1 year of teaching experience.I
  • nterested persons and experts in the financial and capital markets, with at least 1 year of teaching or presentation experience.

Project participants will be fully supported with various types of teaching media and privileges in accordance with the stipulated Incentive level, including accesses to various activities of TSI and other exclusive privileges from the SET.
