University Education is established for the purpose of provision of knowledge regarding Finance and Investment to undergraduates. The project is designed to present the fundamental background in order to prepare these young minds in becoming professional investors and to pursue their career in Finance and Investment field. In addition, one of our main objectives is to achieve cooperation with University Networking, which would act as channels to distribute profound understanding of Finance and Investment throughout the country, and uplift the Thai Investment Market, rendering overall development of Thailand’s economy

Main roles of University Education comprise the following

1. Course introduction: Introduction to Finance and Investment, appropriate content suitable for academic background of target audience, such as

• Personal Finance for Youth , a part of Youth Education, suitable for undergraduates studying in Faculty of Educational Science (for the purpose of knowledge distribution to elementary and junior high school undergraduates)
• Personal Finance. Suitable for undergraduates in all fields
• Fundamental knowledge of Financial and Capital markets. Suitable for undergraduates in Accounting and Financial Economics fields

In addition to these courses, TSI, in cooperation with the University Networking, are planning to develop accredit advanced Finance and Investment course, tailor made for the target group

2. Work in cooperation with the regional University Network in order to establish Securities Market Information Center (SMIC) for undergraduates, professors, academic personnel and general public. The Center will be located in the campus and provide online financial and investment information as well as that in the form of textbook and several other products of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, including training courses/seminars

3. Arranging for knowledge distribution activities, enhancing understanding and skills regarding Finance and Investment such as

• To provide opportunity for undergraduates to do internship with Financial and Investment institutions
• To arrange for training courses/seminars to enhance knowledge and skills (both for undergraduates and professors)
• To distribute the knowledge through radio stations and local television channels

4. The SET Library in campus project: the SET library will be established in the university to distribute knowledge of saving and investment to students, staff and faculties seeking to further their knowledge of investment
