Youth Education Project is established to develop youth educational programs to promote financial management skills among Thai youth ranging from those in elementary schools to university students. The main objective of the project is to educate the Thai young minds of money-saving, economics, and management concepts which are necessary skills leading to a good quality of life. The project works in cooperation with corporate organizations, government agencies, business operators, and educational institutions to ensure quality and usefulness of all the programs and activities .

“Personal Finance for Youth” (Nguen-Tong-Kong-Mee-Ka)” Textbooks and Teaching Materials
Youth Education Project has worked hand in hand with the Ministry of Education to develop a set of textbooks suitable for teachers, students, parents, and interested persons, aiming at creating a fundamental understanding of personal financial management among youth, ranging from Grade 1 to 12. Moreover, a variety of teaching and learning media, as well as training programs for teachers and lecturers are also offered for greater efficiency. The content of the textbooks can be summarized as follows:

Youth Education Programs

Middle School Programme

The program is suitable for junior high and high school students, comprising 3 subjects for the period of 3 days, namely

• Personal Economics: Stimulate the attendants to plan their future, select careers that fit their interests and skills. Learn financial planning and how to create a practical budget and smart consumption, as well as creating awareness of savings and investment concepts.

• Business Matters: Understand nature of business operations, market, supply, demand, business procedures and structure, production and marketing, as well as responsibilities towards society and environment. Introduction to business ethics and roles of business in the economy.

• The International Marketplace: Introduce attendants to the global market, roles of international trade, competition, utilization of resources for production of each country, consumption, barter, trade sanction, exchange rates, as well as importance of International Economics.

Fundamental Of Market Economics

The program provides basic knowledge of economics, business and marketing for undergraduates through case studies and simulation practices. Also, the course introduce attendants to the concept of a being business operator as guideline for their future career.

Special Programs

MESE: Management and Economics Simulation Exercise

An interactive software, comprising knowledge and principles regarding business management and economics. The software is especially designed to create an understanding of the relationships between different production factors, and how to apply the knowledge into a practical use. Attendants will be responsible for their own business plan and compete against each other in a simulated business world, where they are set to achieve the leadership in the industry. In addition, a business simulation for youth is held on an annual basis as a platform for students to develop their business skills and as a contest to find youth with promising potential to participate in Youth Education Project’s further projects, both local and international ones.

Business Simulation

An interactive simulation program designed to integrate knowledge and principles regarding business management and economic matters. The program provides an enjoyable way to learn about how to start and operate a small business according to a given situation by supposing all participants as a business owner. Moreover, the program also emphasizes on balancing between an entrepreneur’s business and personal lives in order to be a good entrepreneur in the future.

Stock Simulation

An interactive software primarily designed as a learning tool about the Stock Market in a fun and educational manner. The program allows participants to invest in a stock market and gain intrinsic ideas through trading i.e. analyzing news and rumors, tracking a stock portfolio’s performance, buying and selling and many more. It is a course aiming to help promoting financial market knowledge among high school students and above.

Youth Camp

Established to give young minds a valuable life lesson during semester breaks, the youth camp combines fun and knowledge together. Each year, the activities are modified to suit the current situation and necessity, as well as the characteristics of attendants.
